The Facebook News Ticker demonstrates updates from Facebook Fan Pages or Facebook groups that you’ve “liked” and activities of Fb buddies in real time. Moving forward, Facebook also intends to display paid advertisements and subsidized stories in the ticker together with regular updates.

This news ticker (Just like in the screen shot) is incorporated together with the Facebook Chat window and, so far, the ticker was only apparent in case your web browser width was higher than 1200 pixels. If perhaps you were accessing Facebook on, say, a mini netbook having a small display screen, the News Ticker might not be displayed to you.
That appears to have changed now. In case the width of your computer display screen (or even the browser window) is not sufficient enough to fit the FB News Ticker, it detaches itself from the Facebook Chat window and results in being a part of Facebook’s right sidebar.

It’s actually a great and helpful piece of information. Nice to know this because I am a regular fb user
Thats so sad.I hate this
